St Peter's performers have UK album chart success

Published: 10th March 2024 | St Peter’s Marlborough

Three huge names in three weeks perform live on the St Peter’s Marlborough Stage.

February saw Louis Dunford (main picture) take to the stage as part of his “Be Lucky” album promotional tour. It was standing room only as he belted out the hits such as “The Angel” and “Lucy” to an audience who had travelled from all around the country to see him. It was a special performance and it was fabulous to hear he had achieved 8th position in the official UK Album Chart that week!

Only six days later, indie rock band from Wigan, the Lathums delivered another special night at St Peter’s. Touring their new album “Matter does not define”, the crowd may have been one of the most passionate we have seen, with queues outside the building 3 hours before the Gig! These guys really are indie rock royalty.

Confirming this, they achieved a No 1 position in the official UK Album Chart that week!

On the 3rd of March we had our latest star name in Bradley Simpson, lead singer of the Vamps. For someone who sold out the 02 arena 4 years in a row to take to the St Peter’s stage and tell us “it’s a beautiful venue” was quite the endorsement.

He again brought with him an incredible crowd, with queues outside the building more than two hours in advance of the Gig. He gave us a great selection of tracks from the new album, with “Carpet Burn” standing out as a huge hit with the crowd.

It was great to hear that Bradley also got a top 10 position in the official UK Album Chart, his first as a solo artist, with 7th place on the week’s album sales!

We must thank Sound Knowledge for their partnership in bringing these amazing, internationally renowned artists to our stage. Roger and his team work tirelessly to bring incredible live music to our small market town. We truly punch above our weight with the acts we put on stage, long may it continue!
