Published: 23th September 2024 | St Peter’s Marlborough
Next weekend we have the pleasure of hosting LitFest events including; talks by Jonathan Dimbleby and Celia Imrie, as well as Children’s LitFest crafts and Tall Tales Theatre.
Starting on Saturday 28th we have Children’s Craft Activities being run by the Aldbourne Children’s Book Group. Suitable for kids of all ages, come along and enjoy some creative fun! This will be a free event running 10am to 2pm, no tickets required.
On Sunday 29th, at 1pm, we’re hosting another free Children’s event for those aged 3 to 8. Lizzie Lewis’ Tall Tales Theatre will be providing a dramatic treat, giving a solo performance of Pan – the classic story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up.
This is followed by two sold out talks. First, we host Jonathan Dimbleby who will be discussing his book, Endgame 1944: How Stalin Won The War. A gripping and authoritative account of the year that sealed the fate of the Nazis, from this bestselling historian.
Then, we have Celia Imrie take the stage to talk about her book, Meet me at Rainbow Corner. Imrie will be presenting an illustrated talk with her historical researcher, Fidelis Morgan, about the true war-bride stories of courage and camaraderie that lie behind her new novel.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to St Peter’s and supporting this years’ literary celebration.
