Windfalls and Wildings

The Apple’s Journey from the Heavenly Mountains to the Pewsey Vale told in original music, song, images and spoken word by Paul Darby and friends. In aid of Marlborough Community Orchard.
This performance will delight apple, nature and history lovers of all ages. It tells the story of the apple’s journey from the mountains of the middle east, over the centuries, to right here in the heart of Wiltshire.
Told with heart, joy and gentle humour you’ll be sure to leave with a love of apples and their fascinating history. October is peak season for apple harvest so this is perfect timing for an autumn afternoon of apple-y celebrations and community.
Doors open at 2.30pm. Performance at 3pm following a brief introduction to Marlborough Community Orchard.
Tickets available (cash only) from Sound Knowledge and the White Horse Bookshop in Marlborough High Street, or call 07876 230 540 for more details.
Very recently pressed apple juice straight from the community orchard will be on sale and there’s a chance to sponsor a new fruit tree, which will be added to the orchard ‘forest’ this autumn.
Free tastings of cider from local fruit.
Ticket price includes a cup of tea and a little piece of apple-y cake or flapjack too.
Come and find out more about Marlborough as a ‘Town in an Orchard’, and how you could help look after the trees and keep the orchard developing and healthy for the future.
