Sound Knowledge – Emily Barker

May 4 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

We’re delighted to announce the return of a shop favourite, as esteemed singer-songwriter Emily Barker joins us all the way from her native Australia on Saturday 4th May.

Emily will be performing live from 8pm in the stunning St. Peter’s Church and signing copies of her brand new album ‘Fragile As Humans’.

Emily has played for Sound Knowledge numerous times over the years, solo and in group settings, and is a spellbinding performer with a body of work that has garnered awards nominations and considerable critical acclaim. This is a brilliant opportunity to catch her the atmospheric setting of St. Peter’s.
After the expansive and political ‘A Dark Murmuration of Words’ (4/5 Mojo, 8/10 Uncut) new album ‘Fragile As Humans’ is a deep dive into the human condition, an unflinching self-examination of grief, pain, loneliness and loss, at the same time sparkling with hope and optimism. It’s released on CD, LP and indies exclusive magenta vinyl on Friday 3rd May.
Entry is FREE but capacity is limited, so please let Sound Knowledge know if you’d like to attend or pre-order a copy of the album from us to guarantee your place.

Gift Aid Declaration

Thank you so much for donating to St Peter’s and St Paul’s Marlborough Trust. Your support is helping us to raise vital funds in order to preserve this building of significant historic interest and to provide a centre for the community to explore its history and enjoy its space.

If you sign up to Gift Aid, a tax relief allowing UK charities to reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation made by a UK taxpayer, it means that without donating a penny extra, you're helping us keep St Peter's Church open for years to come.

There are a couple of reasons that may affect our ability to reclaim that extra money, so please contact us within 21 days if:
You expect to pay less than your Gift Aid value, in UK income and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current year, or your personal details, such as name and address have changed.

If you have not paid enough tax to meet the Gift Aid claimed by St Peter’s and St Paul’s Marlborough Trust and have not notified us of this, HMRC may seek to recover this sum from you directly, as it is your responsibility to pay any difference. You can get in touch with us on contact@stpetersmarlborough.org.uk if you have any questions.
