Sound Knowledge – Billie Marten – Live Album Launch

July 16 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

We’re over the moon to announce that the brilliant Billie Marten will be returning to us for a fifth time on Wednesday 16th July to celebrate the release of her forthcoming new album ‘Dog Eared’. She’ll be playing a solo set in the atmospheric surroundings of St. Peter’s Church from 7.30pm. Her first appearance here as a teenager nearly a decade ago heralded the arrival of a major songwriting talent and each subsequent record has seen Billie refining her craft and growing in musical boldness.

Her new album ‘Dog Eared’ was recorded in New York with producer Phil Weinrobe (Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, Laura Veirs) and a globe-spanning band of crack musicians including Catalan singer-songwriter/guitarist Núuria Graham, revered indie-rock artist Sam Evian, Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco, acclaimed folk musician Sam Amidon and his frequent collaborator, multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily. If you’d like to attend this intimate performance in a beautiful setting, album and ticket bundles are available for purchase, featuring a copy of the new album (released Friday 18th July on CD, LP and a “Deep Ocean” coloured vinyl exclusive to independent shops) and a ticket to the event.
Standalone tickets are also available but we’d ask you to consider buying a bundle where possible- it’s better value for you and the album sales help both the artist and also us with organising these events.

Tickets and bundles are available exclusively from Sound Knowledge in-store, over the phone on 01672 511106 or via this page.

**Under 16s must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. We can’t admit under-8s for this one. This is a standing event but please notify Sound Knowledge by email if you have any access requirements.

PLEASE NOTE – Albums will be posted out to arrive on/around the release date (in this case, the week after the event). All tickets are PICKUP ONLY, available to collect in advance from the shop or on the door of the venue. Please have your order number/confirmation email to hand when collecting.

Gift Aid Declaration

Thank you so much for donating to St Peter’s and St Paul’s Marlborough Trust. Your support is helping us to raise vital funds in order to preserve this building of significant historic interest and to provide a centre for the community to explore its history and enjoy its space.

If you sign up to Gift Aid, a tax relief allowing UK charities to reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation made by a UK taxpayer, it means that without donating a penny extra, you're helping us keep St Peter's Church open for years to come.

There are a couple of reasons that may affect our ability to reclaim that extra money, so please contact us within 21 days if:
You expect to pay less than your Gift Aid value, in UK income and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current year, or your personal details, such as name and address have changed.

If you have not paid enough tax to meet the Gift Aid claimed by St Peter’s and St Paul’s Marlborough Trust and have not notified us of this, HMRC may seek to recover this sum from you directly, as it is your responsibility to pay any difference. You can get in touch with us on contact@stpetersmarlborough.org.uk if you have any questions.
