Having last joined us in the shop for an instore around the release of their Top 10 album ‘Here Is Everything’\, the band will be appearing at St. Peter’s Church on Thursday 29th October to celebrate the forthcoming release of its follow-up\, ‘Forever’\, with an acoustic set. \nWhere the previous album found chief songwriter Juliette Jackson processing the pandemic and the life-altering experience of new motherhood\, the songs on ‘Forever’ emerged from the aftermath of a condition that resulted in hearing loss in one ear. In characteristically defiant fashion\, the resulting album features some of The Big Moon’s most joyous and uplifting music\, stemming from Jackson manifesting “a happy ending that didn’t exist yet.” Recorded over three weeks at Norfolk’s Bam Bam Studios\, with Kevin Morby-collaborator Sam Cohen co-producing alongside the band (Soph Nathan\, Celia Archer and Fern Ford)\, ‘Forever’ is brimming with hook-heavy alt-pop gems. \n‘Forever’ is released on Friday 30th October on CD\, LP and a limited edition “Sparkle/Starlight” vinyl. We’d ask you to consider supporting the artist and us by buying the physical product bundles where possible- it’s better value for you and will help us to deliver these exclusive events to you in future. Standalone tickets are limited to one per basket\, but you can purchase as many physical bundles as you like. \nPLEASE NOTE- All tickets are collection-only. We’d urge you to collect your tickets in advance from the shop but\, if you can’t get to us before\, you can collect at the venue when doors open for the show. She has won prizes at the Hindemith International Piano Competition\, the Wigmore Hall Song Competition and the Helmut Deutsch International Song Competition. She has played concertos at the Berlin Philharmonie\, given recitals at London’s Wigmore Hall\, and toured twelve cities across China playing Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto. She’s even the only pianist besides the composer’s own wife ever to have played Antal Doráti’s piano concerto.\n\nSince 2018 she has followed her lifelong dream of singing professionally\, learning from legends including Christa Ludwig\, Elly Ameling and her late grandfather. At this concert you’ll hear her do both: playing the first half\, singing the second.\n\nJack Campbell\, piano\nRecital hall or music hall\, Jack Campbell brings the same spark to both. Crowned “most promising young pianist” at the Somerset Song Prize and a semi-finalist at Romania’s fiercely competitive Enescu Competition\, he has taken on some of the biggest concertos in the repertoire\, from Tchaikovsky’s to Saint-Saëns’ dazzling “Egyptian”.\n\nHe writes music too: his In Stillness Darkening for harpsichord and electronics was premiered in Amsterdam.
