DESCRIPTION:Our Monday Market will be open at 10am on Monday 2nd June and we would love to see you all turn out and support local products and crafts. This week we will have locally produced pottery with Pots about Pottery and hand crafted wooden products from Treebitz. So come shop\, take a look around and enjoy incredible coffee and cakes from the Cardinal Coffee Shop. \nThe indoor market at St Peter’s runs every Monday\, 10am to 3pm. Our aim is to showcase the best of local businesses bringing together their products and produce all under one roof. \n\nNew stalls added each week\,\nLocal businesses\, products and produce\,\nGreat tea\, coffee\, cakes and lunches at the Cardinal Coffee Shop\,\nAll set within Marlborough’s beautiful 550 year old landmark building.\n\nWe want our markets to be for the benefit of the whole community\, let’s get together and support local.

SUMMARY:Avebury Vocal Ensemble
DESCRIPTION:Avebury Vocal Ensemble\nThe Avebury Vocal Ensemble will be performing  on Sunday 15th June at 7.00pm. \nThe principal work is the “Little Jazz Mass” by Bob Chilcott\, a past member of the King’s Singers who is one of our greatest contemporary choral composers and who has just turned seventy. It is a refreshingly different setting of the principal sections of the traditional Mass and we will perform it with piano and bass accompaniment. \nAs the concert follows swiftly upon Ascension Day and takes place on Trinity Sunday itself\, we offer appropriate motets by Peter Philips\, Orlando Gibbons and Tchaikovsky. With two madrigals and a partsong\, we also honour the following anniversaries; Thomas Vautor who\, together with Gibbons died in 1625 and the Victorian\, William Sterndale-Bennett who died in 1875. \nWe complete the programme with lighter works by Haydn\, “Matrimonial Harmony”\, and Schubert\, “Der Tanz” and his lovely setting of Psalm 23 for ladies’ voices\, together with a complete contrast in the perennial “Rhythm of Life” by Cy Coleman.
