SUMMARY:Sound Knowledge Presents: Gustaffson
DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to announce that Gustaffson\, the Liverpool band fronted by actor/singer-songwriter Andrew Gower (Outlander\, Black Mirror)\, will be joining us in St. Peter’s  on Saturday 22nd March\, playing live from 7pm to celebrate the release of their debut album ‘Black & White Movie’. \n‘Black & White Movie’ is a remarkably assured debut\, produced by Elbow’s Craig Potter. The record features sweeping string arrangements from award-winning composer Bear McCreary (Outlander\, Rings of Power) and a cameo from legendary actor Sir Ben Kingsley. \nThe 13 tracks on the album serve as individual cinematic experiences. It’s released on CD and split black/white vinyl on Friday 21st March. \nEntry is FREE but capacity is limited\, so please let Sound Knowledge know if you’d like to attend or pre-order a copy of the album from Sound Knowledge to guarantee your place. \nPackages: https://www.sound-knowledge.co.uk/collections/events/products/gustaffson-black-white-movie-album-launch

SUMMARY:Sound Knowledge Presents - Bradley Simpson
DESCRIPTION:Bradley Simpson at St. Peter’s – ‘The Panic Years’ Outstore\nSound Knowledge are delighted to announce that Bradley Simpson\, frontman of The Vamps\, will be joining us in St. Peter’s on Monday 3rd March for a promotional performance and album signing to celebrate the release of his debut solo record ‘The Panic Years’. \nRecorded in New York’s Flux Studios (where The Strokes’ classic ‘Is This It’ was made) with executive producer BOOTS (Beyoncé\, Run The Jewels)\, ‘The Panic Years’ takes in touches of indie-rock\, Americana and 80s synth but retains a knack for pop addictiveness finely honed over more than a decade as the vocalist in Platinum-sellers The Vamps. \nIf you’d like to attend this intimate performance in a beautiful setting\, album and ticket bundles are available for purchase\, featuring a copy of the new album (released Friday 28th February) and a ticket to the event. Standalone tickets are also available but we’d ask you to consider buying a bundle where possible- it’s better value for you and the album sales help both the artist and also us with organising these events. \nTickets and bundles are available exclusively from Sound Knowledge via this page\, on sale from 11am on Friday 24th January. \nUnder 16s must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. This is a standing event but please notify us by email if you have any access requirements. \nAlbums and tickets will be available to collect from the shop from the release date of the album\, or posted to arrive on/around that date if you pay for postage. \nTickets: https://www.sound-knowledge.co.uk/collections/events/products/bradley-simpson-outstore \n

The invitation is to disconnect the mind and connect with the body freely\, without self-judgement or fearing judgement from others. Movement is conscious\, intuitive and spontaneous as you allow the vibrations of the sound to resonate in whichever way feels right for you. Each dance journey is different\, with the music an eclectic mix of different genres. You’ll be invited to be curious with your exploration of your body and movements\, to bring moment by moment awareness to what’s moving through you. \nThe evening will close with a sound bath with didgeridoo\, handpan\, shruti and vocals\, a short closing circle with fruit\, and some optional time to socialise. \n  \nIMPORTANT INFO: \nThis is an over 16’s\, safe\, respectfully alcohol and drug free environment. To feel no judgement in a room full of people!’ \n‘How does ecstatic dance feel? Like you are truly in your own world\, letting your body take in and respond to wonderful music….to really FEEL the music and what that brings up in your body. ‘ \n‘Alison incorporates a few questions and prompts which guide you to really be in the moment and let go further. As a newbie to this type of dance\, I’ve tried it a handful of times and am completely hooked. I had never danced before and was very self-conscious at first\, I’m overjoyed at how liberating and natural this feels and it is now one of my core activities for self -and soul nourishment!’ \n‘Your voice was incredible! Added another dimension to the journey. Such a beautiful experience.’ \n  \nWHERE: St Peters Church\, Marlborough. There is free parking in the high street after 6pm. \nPLEASE BRING: Wear comfortable clothing\, dress as the authentic YOU. Bring a water bottle\, grip socks if you do not want to move barefoot. It is said to have benefits for depression as it contains anandamide\, the bliss molecule and has the ability to trigger the release of dopamine and endorphins and increase serotonin. Cacao also has powerful antioxidants and can balance blood sugar levels by increasing the blood flow to the brain. This helps with focus and awareness. Cacao also has spiritual and emotional benefits and can help us to connect with our higher self\, tune in to our intuition and access transformational states. \n  \nABOUT: \nAlison – Just BE Sound and Movement Therapy is run by Alison Heaslewood who qualified in Sound and Movement Therapy with the British Academy of Sound Therapy. She is also the founder of Ecstatic Dance Berkshire. \nFollowing a five year episode of chronic pain in her twenties and a diagnosis of fibromyalgia\, she turned to alternative methods of healing\, including Sound Therapy. Along with sound\, movement was instrumental in her full recovery. She has been supported on her spiritual path by cacao\, meditation and connecting to nature\, and has been continually called to explore deep practices of surrender and awareness. \nWith five years vocal training she has discovered the power of the voice to heal and brings soothing vocals into her sound sessions along with other percussion. \nShe creates nurturing\, relaxing and safely held spaces for anyone seeking a space to Just BE. \nhttps://www.instagram.com/soundandmovementtherapy \nTo read reviews: https://www.facebook.com/JustBEsoundandmovementtherapy \nDavid – Sound Healer\, Master Dowser \nhttps://www.nomadictherapist.com \nhttps://www.instagram.com/nomadic_therapist \nhttps://www.facebook.com/DowsingDavid \nDavid is a key member of the Ecstatic Dance Berkshire Team. His deep connection with Earth energies and sound has most recently led him to hold sacred sound baths in West Kennet Long Barrow. A talented musician\, he plays didgeridoo\, handpan\, drum and bowls\, and often plays during or after Ecstatic Dances. In particular\, his didgeridoo playing has been well received by the dance community\, as the vibrations bring new depths to the journeys and create space for deep healing. He also leads meditations\, walks and teaches dowsing.
