DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to announce Newton Faulkner will be returning to Marlborough on Friday 26th September at 7.30pm\, playing here at St. Peter’s launching his eighth studio album: ‘OCTOPUS’.\nThe multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter has two UK No. 1 albums under his belt\, but the new album marks something of a creative rebirth for Faulkner. Five years in the making\, ‘OCTOPUS’ is a bold\, colourful record with contributions from Reuben James\, Dan Smith (The Noisettes)\, Lissie and Los Bitchos guitarist Serra Petale.\nNewton has played for us numerous times over the years and has always been a firm crowd favourite\, but this marks his first appearance in our spiritual home of St. Peter’s. If you’d like to attend this intimate performance in a beautiful setting\, album and ticket bundles are available for purchase\, featuring a copy of the new album (released Friday 19th September on CD (indies exclusive variant artwork available)\, white vinyl and an indies exclusive green vinyl) and a ticket to the event. Hannah will be playing live from 7.30pm on Saturday 20th September in support of her new album\, joined by AMA UK Instrumentalist of the Year\, Keiron Marshall. Doors open from 7pm. \nHannah supported last year’s RSD Live at St Peter’s with a wonderful\, intimate set. Hannah and Keiron previously performed at Sound Knowledge to celebrate the release of ‘Sweet Revolution’\, which went on to become the UK Album of the Year 2023 at the Americana Awards. DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the outstanding violinist Johanna Röhrig\, returning to St Peter’s after her acclaimed concert last April.  This time she will perform a solo recital on her beloved Andrea Guarneri violin made in 1686. Johanna will also talk about her instrument\, the development of baroque violin music as well as her own musical journey to becoming an international soloist\, concert master and she also has her own YouTube channel.\n\nJohanna is performing gratis to help us raise money for St Peter’s roof appeal. Entry is free and a retiring collection will be taken.\n\nAfter graduating with a DipRAM Diploma and Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London (Prof. Rodney Friend)\, Johanna Röhrig is now completing her Artist Diploma at the HfMT Hamburg while performing internationally as a recitalist and soloist.\n\nThe multiple scholarship holder (Thörl Stiftung/Rogler Stiftung a.o.) plays a violin by Andrea Guarneri from 1686\, on loan from the Beares International Violin Society in London\, and proves her interest beyond classical music in cross-genre projects of her own design\, supported by the Deutsche Musikrat\, GVL\, YAMAHA a.o.

DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to announce that Gustaffson\, the Liverpool band fronted by actor/singer-songwriter Andrew Gower (Outlander\, Black Mirror)\, will be joining us in St. Peter’s  on Saturday 22nd March\, playing live from 7pm to celebrate the release of their debut album ‘Black & White Movie’. \n‘Black & White Movie’ is a remarkably assured debut\, produced by Elbow’s Craig Potter. The record features sweeping string arrangements from award-winning composer Bear McCreary (Outlander\, Rings of Power) and a cameo from legendary actor Sir Ben Kingsley. \nThe 13 tracks on the album serve as individual cinematic experiences. Lead singer and songwriter Gower’s poignant lyrics\, honed over 15 years as an actor\, shine light and darkness on the duality of human existence\, telling extraordinary tales of ordinary lives.
