Marlborough History Society – Oliver Everett offers an unusual inside view of royal entertaining

May 19 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

“How the Queen Entertains at Windsor Castle: Treasures and Curiosities from the Royal Library” By Oliver Everett

To mark the celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we offer an unusual inside view of royal entertaining. We shall have a tour of the Library similar to that experienced by guests of the Queen. Oliver Everett will describe some of the beautiful and rare books, manuscripts and old master drawings in the Royal Collection.

Oliver Everett has been the librarian of the Royal Library at Windsor Castle and is the author of several books and articles on the collection, as well has writing the Guide to Windsor Castle. He was previously in the Diplomatic Service and was Assistant Private Secretary to the Prince of Wales and then to Diana, Princess of Wales. He has lectured widely to Museums. Galleries and Art Societies in this country and abroad.

Guests are very welcome, £5 entry on the door.
(Covid safe provisions are in place)
